St. John's Town Center

Simon Property Group selected Vantage Construction Company to perform 52 projects, including multiple tenant build-outs throughout their 1.1 million square foot open-air lifestyle center in Jacksonville, Florida.  The St. Johns Town Center included a 245,000 square foot power center, a 276,000 lifestyle center, apartments, 200 condominiums, two hotels and 30 acres for future development.

 

Due to the size of the project and single specified opening date for the center, private inspectors were required to facilitate the construction approvals and completion of the stores. The Super Bowl in town created a housing shortage for workmen during the heart of the project and delays in receiving permits also condensed the time available to perform the work.   Despite these conditions, Vantage’s (Vanstar’s) team was able to complete the project on time.  It was another successful project with a satisfied repeat client, that led to many subsequent projects throughout the Country.
